BirthWays believes in birth.  We believe in the power of women’s bodies.  We believe in the magical transformation of becoming parents.  And we believe in the wisdom of babies.  Don’t let an organization that believes in you close its doors.

Like many others non-profits, BirthWays is finding it difficult to survive during this economic downturn. Now more than ever we need your support.  For over thirty years BirthWays has provided education, support and resources for new and growing families and we need your support now to ensure that we can continue to provide these services.

There are lots of ways you can support BirthWays.  If you are a new or expecting parent, you can:

• Recommend BirthWays to a friend.
• Post a review on Yelp.
• Make a tax deductible donation.
• Volunteer! We have ongoing projects or one time opportunities. We can find a project that fits your skills and your time availability. See birthways.org/volunteer for more details of current needs. Please note that many small projects are not listed.
• Buy or sell a house with a real estate agent who is willing to make a sizable donation to BirthWays.
• Take a class.
• Sign up on the BirthWays mailing list.
• Buy your ticket to the SF Birth and Baby Fair and half of the proceeds go to BirthWays.
• Like us on Facebook.

If you are a birth or parenting provider, you can:

• Refer clients to BirthWays.
• Make a tax deductible donation.
• Make an in kind donation or volunteer your pro bono services. See our wish list.
• Volunteer! We have ongoing projects or one time opportunities. We can find a project that fits your skills and your time availability. See birthways.org/volunteer for more details of current needs. Please note that many small projects are not listed.
• Join the BirthWays Board of Directors.
• Rent space at BirthWays to teach a class, run a group or see clients.
• Post a listing on the BirthWays Online Resource Database.
• Advertise in the BirthWays E-Newsletter.
• Buy or sell a house with a real estate agent who is willing to make a sizable donation to BirthWays.
• Participate in BirthWays’ Volunteer Doula Program .
• Distribute BirthWays brochures at your office. Please contact Stacia at vicepresident@birthways.org.
• Buy your ticket to the SF Birth and Baby Fair and half of the proceeds go to BirthWays.
• Offer a workshop at BirthWays as a fundraiser for BirthWays, contact Rebecca at contact@birthways.org.
• Promote BirthWays on your website or to your mailing list. Make sure to put a link to our website, www.birthways.org.

It is support like this that will enable BirthWays to thrive. BirthWays is the only community based non-profit providing education, support and resources during pregnancy, birth and parenting in the East Bay. We are an invaluable resource for both women and families and providers and we need your support to stay open.
